A gathering of summer songs written over 20 years. From Yorkshire to Brighton to the Great Barrier Reef. ‘You loved and you lost but you don’t count the cost, cos it’s Summertime’

Light and shade and more angst and noise than usual here. Recorded with fine young rock musicians one of whom went on to get 2 Ivor Novello awards… young Iain Archer
Back in ’91 I’d left Chrysalis Music and started writing better songs. Recorded with a great band, some of my best songs written in moments of awakening and transformation.
Not so much an album as a bucket full of songs recorded in rainy Glasgow. Memorabilia. Big Sur was my band – we got Single of the Week in Record Mirror. A highlight!
